Lenten Book Study

Living in the Father’s Love by Lisa Brenninkmeyer

Join us for our 6 week Lenten study, Living in the Father’s Love, and discover the depths of God’s love for us and how the Gospels are deeply relevant to our relationship with God and those we love.  With the help of Scripture, study guide and our group discussion, we will journey through Lent discovering God’s abundant love and obtaining a deep peace to guard our hearts and minds. Meetings are Wednesday evening, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with your choice of in person in Assumption Hall or virtual Zoom meeting. Please register below for more information.

Early Summer Book Club

Finding and Maintaining Inner Peace: A Small Treatise on Peace of the Heart

by Father Jacque Phillippe

Through the insightful words of Father Jacque Phillippe and our group discussion, we will take examples from our everyday life and learn how to respond in a Gospel fashion to situations we all confront.  This book will inspire us to seek and pursue God’s gift of peace of heart unceasingly.  Read the book in your own time and then join our discussion. Wednesday Evening, February 28, 2024 – Lenten Soup Dinner with Special Guest Speaker, Sister  Sheila Galligan, IHM

We are happy to welcome back Sister Sheila as she speaks to us on “Forgiveness: The Name of Love in a Wounded World”. Lenten Soup dinner in Assumption Hall will be served starting at 6:30 p.m.  Presentation begins at 7 p.m.  Click HERE to learn more and to register.

Wednesday Evening, March 6, 2024 – Mary’s Way of the Cross

We will pray the Stations of the Cross through the eyes and perspective of our Blessed Mother in our annual Mary’s Way of the Cross Prayer Service.   Join us at 7 p.m. in the OLA Church.

Virtual Scriptural Rosary – January 17, 2024 and April 24, 2024

Join us on Zoom at 7 p.m. as we pray a Scriptural Rosary for our Special Intentions. Please register below to receive your Zoom link for January and April virtual Rosary.

Meeting Details:

When/Where: Our weekly study group meets Wednesday Evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. February 2024 through May 2024 on the dates indicated on our calendar. You have the option of attending in-person meetings in Assumption Hall or virtual meetings on Zoom. Special events are listed above and on our calendar.

What We Do: At weekly meetings, we break into smaller discussion groups and review our at home study of our Catholic faith, scripture and catechism as outlined in our study guide books. Study guide books are available for purchase.

You are always welcome! Come experience fellowship, friendship and joy with us!

Whether or not you have any Bible study experience, you are welcome to join us as we learn how the Scriptures apply to our everyday lives.
