Extraordinary Ministry of Holy Communion

Mission:  To assist the ordained ministers of the Church in the reverent distribution of Holy Communion during the Sacred Eucharistic Liturgy of the Mass, and to reach out to those OLA parishioners who are unable to participate in the Sunday Eucharist. Thus, we unite in a visible way the infirm and elderly with the entire OLA Parish community.   Ministers bring the Holy Eucharist, share the Scripture from the Sunday Mass, and inform the individual about the happenings of the Parish (through the Sunday bulletin).

The Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist distributes Holy Communion, either within Mass or by taking it to a sick or home-bound parishioner, when an ordained minister (bishop, priest or deacon) is not able to do so.  Training is provided.  To learn more about the Ministry, please click on the links below:
