Mission:  With the Pastor, the Parish Pastoral Council develops the mission statement for the entire parish. With the Pastor, the Parish Pastoral Council defines the Pastoral plans, goals, and objectives for the entire parish. The Parish Pastoral Council works with all Parish organizations.

The Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body whose role is to assist the Pastor in areas of pastoral concern. The council is composed of the Pastor, who presides over the council, and representative parish staff members and lay members of the parish. Because the council is meant to be representative of the parish, an effort is made to have the members reflect the diversity within the Parish.

The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to foster full participation of the entire Parish in the life and mission of the Parish and of the Universal Church. The Council, under the leadership of the Pastor, develops and recommends Parish Pastoral plans and directions through a consensus process and prayerful reflection.

The Parish Pastoral Council cooperates with Parish committees to address such areas of Parish life as worship, spirituality, community, evangelization, education, and service.

The Pastoral Council is constituted in the following way: there are ex-officio members, appointed members, and members elected by the Parishioners. These elections occur as terms expire.
